Welcome to ChetLets

Chetlets is designed to enable the people living in the Chet Valley in Norfolk to trade goods and services with each other, without the need for payments in real money. Transactions take place using our local currency the Chet, with an hours work usually equating to 10 Chets, although this can vary. There is an enormous range of goods and services that can be traded, such as:

  • cleaning, sewing or gardening
  • fruit and vegetables
  • giving lifts in your car or making deliveries
  • teaching people to use the computer

There are some big benefits for individuals and the community in doing this:

  • Do more of the things you love doing and less of those you don't
  • Build a stronger and more sustainable community
  • Use and develop your skills
  • Have fun
